● The tube sheet on one end of a floating-head heat exchanger is fixed between the shell and the channel box; that on the other end can move freely in the shell; there is no temperature stress between the tube bundle and the shell
● Easy cleaning, with the tube bundle extractable
● Compared with a stuffing box version, floating-head heat exchanger can work under higher temperature and pressure; however, the floating-head is of complex structure and high manufacturing cost.
 
☆Application scope:
Mainly applicable to industries of relatively higher requirements (such as high temperature difference) as chemical industry and oil refineries etc. It is used for liquid heat exchange, gas or air cooling as well as steam condensation.
